Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Augustus Tower Deluxe  from  Roman Tower Room

We arrived at 2 PM & the reservation lines were packed. Didn’t really have a choice as to which clerk we would get. Originally booked two wheelchair accessible rooms online and it wouldn’t allow us to choose which tower we were in. We only wanted one wheelchair accessible room and one regular room but we were afraid it would be in 2 different towers so we just reserved 2 wheelchair accessible rooms online. Once I got email confirmation I saw that both rooms were in the Roman tower. Upon arrival to the hotel we had to wait in line about 20 minutes. As it happened when we got to the front of the line a male manager was standing in close vicinity to our clerk, So we were nervous to even try this. I instructed my husband put a $20 bill between his drivers license and the credit card and he handed it to the clerk and told her online it didn’t give us a choice of which tower we were in and would it be possible to upgrade our rooms. She said she would check and placed the $20 bill back on the counter in front of us. We also told her we only actually wanted one wheelchair accessible room but since we wanted to be in the same tower we couldn’t book it that way online. She typed for a few minutes and told us she had upgraded rooms available & told us she could put us in 1 wheelchair accessible deluxe room with 2 queen beds & 1 deluxe room with two queen beds, both in the Augustus Tower & just down the hall from each other. Both of the rooms were absolutely huge. Our room had a spa tub and a walk-in shower and had a beautiful view of the Bellagio fountains & the strip. The wheelchair accessible room was also huge and had a view of the other side of the strip, no bathtub, but instead a shower with a pulldown wheelchair accessible seat in it. Under the vanity there was another free standing portable wheelchair accessible seat that could actually be put in the shower or used to sit in front of the vanity. The first night all six of us ordered room service and sat looking out the full length window watching the Bellagio fountains! It doesn’t get any better than this!

Saved:  $$600 Tipped:  $40 Upgraded to  Caesars Executives Suites  from  Palace Tower Premium Room

Celebrated my birthday in Vegas! Got there at about 3pm Saturday to check in. I didn’t wait for anybody in particular, but I did get a younger guy in his 20’s. I handed him my id and credit card with $40 folded in between. After he saw it I told him I was there for my bday and was looking to upgrade. He went right to typing and wrote my name down so he could check with “inventory”. He came back and pulled out a booklet to show me which room he had available, which was the octavious executive suite. The room was awesome! It even had a view of the water fountain show at the Bellagio. Definitely worth it!

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Octavius Tower Deluxe  from  Roman Tower Room

This is as simple and easy as made out to be on here, and anyone would be a fool to not try the $20 trick..

Got to Caesar’s around 3PM; short line. We had a nice younger woman whom we somewhat scoped out. Gave her the $20 sandwich which she put to the side before happily upgrading us to a premium room in the Octavious Tower overlooking the pools. It was easy, NOT awkward in any sense, and worked like a charm. There’s no need to be nervous.

Beautiful, modern room (she said it was the newest tower) overlooking the gorgeous pools.

I’m typing this review as I sit in this fabulous jacuzzi big enough for two, in a marble bathroom the size of a small bedroom.

Looked it up and this room goes for $425/night. Not bad for the $109 I paid through Hotwire!

This works. Try it.

Was a little nervous doing so but I tried the trick on a 3 night comped room. When arriving, I stated that it was my birthday (which it was), we talked with a late 20’s/early 30’s gentleman about Chicago and burgers etc. Slipped him the sandwich after telling me I had a room in the Palace tower. Said he would see what he can do while he left the $20 on the counter in front of us…

We checked in on a Wednesday afternoon and it was busy. We usually don’t target a clerk, but we got lucky. A gentleman by the name of Bryan called us over and we handed him the sandwich. He spread out the ID’s and card and the folded $50 and began to type and asked us to hold a moment while he checked with inventory. We waited about 5 minutes and he apologized several times during the wait. Obviously not a problem when we’re looking for an upgrade.. He got off the phone and explained that the upgrade was two tiers higher than what we had booked and gave us a much larger suite with a view of the Bellagio fountains. For having a partially comp’d room to start with due to rewards, we were very happy with the upgrade.

I have been to Las Vegas many many times and came across this site recently and learned something new. I booked total rewards at Ceaser’s and got an awesome comp rate of zero for a delux king room (plus taxes and resort fee). I put a $20 in between my license and credit card and handed it to the front desk attendant at check-in. He asked to put it down until the end to see what he had.

He then said he had a very nice room in the Octavius Tower, which is in the Laurell collection. The room was beyond awesome and we came in early for checkin and not a problem. Was completely worth it, way to go Ceasers! Also, there was a corner view of the Bellagio Fountain.

4 nights comped at Caesars in Las Vegas in a Forum Tower room, 1 king bed. Got to the front desk, late check in around 11 p.m. Front desk was not busy at all. Huge front desk, by the way. Picked a younger man, probably in early 20’s. Very friendly. Asked him for a possible comp upgrade & handed him our ids & the $20. He said he could sure try & got on the computer & then even got on the phone to double check & put us in a huge beautiful room in the Augustus Tower right off the lobby. Our view was of a neighboring tower & of North strip. Very nice.

Got comp for 5 nights. Walked up to first available agent, presented w $20 sandwich, asked for renovated room w fountain view, and got a room in Augusta tower. In terms of towers, Augusta is probably best, then Palace tower, then Octavius, and then Forum last. The room was very decent size, fairly well kept, and the fountain view was great. It was $20 well spent for 5 nights, no resort fees either!

I arrived just shy of 5PM on a Tuesday to the hotel lobby. I did not get in line just yet as I was scoping the front desk clerks that were taking care of the Platinum Card line (my card level w/ Total Rewards). There was one man that looked like a manager, another man who didnt look too thrilled to be there, and a nice looking young lady (maybe my age – in her late twenties). I decided to shoot for her. Since there was no line, I waited until she was available then jumped in the Platinum Card line. She called me up next! I had two $20’s folded between my ID and credit card. This girl must have been working there for a while because she knew EXACTLY what was up when she saw the money (I made sure I feathered the two bills to be sure she knew there were two $20’s, not just one). I was staying for three nights (all comp), so I figured it would be a bit of a stretch to get the exact room I wanted without being super pushy (Augustus Tower w/ strip view); thus, I did $40 and not $20 (also to help increase my chances). She placed the money immediately to the side upon seeing it and said “based on your card level, I can’t take it just yet, so I’ll put it aside until we’ve completed your check-in and that you are completely satisfied with my service.” I didn’t even ask if she had complimentary upgrades, she had already jumped on board, wanting to do it. She offered the Junior Suite in the same Palace tower I booked, but she also said to herself within earshot “Maybe I have something in the Augustus Tower.” I got a poopy view of the parking garage on my last stay in Vegas (@Harrah’s before I found out about the sandwich trick). I let her know I was most interested in staying in the Augustus Tower, and if not too much trouble, maybe with a strip view. She managed to get me the Augustus Tower with Bellagio Fountain View! She was very pleasant for the entire transaction and I appreciated her effort in getting us the room I was shooting for. To make this even sweeter, I was given an email two days prior asking if I wanted to upgrade to that same room for $61/night (meaning pay over $180 before tax to upgrade my comp room). Best gamble I ever did in Vegas!

My room was comped already, but we arrived from NYC super early and she waived early check in and resort fees and minibar purchases. She was VERY nice and seemed to enjoy helping us save money.
