Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Resort Room /w View  from  Deluxe Room

Reserved the room via website with promo code CNEW ($49,$49,$109,$139). Checked in at around 9:30pm, it was quiet. Gave the clerk my id and I held the $20 with my credit card. I asked him if he had any complimentary upgrades, and he told me he’ll see what he could do. He showed me a floor plan of the resort room and said he could waive the $50/night upgrade charge. I thanked him for the upgrade, and gave him the $20 tip. FYI – the registration desk opens in it’s new location this week. Looks pretty nice.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Resort Room /w 2 Queens  from  Normal King

I was so nervous. Spotted the eyes in the ceiling and spotted the supervisors behind certain clerks. The line was long and every station seems to have a clerk so there was no way to be certain of who I was going to get. Then I saw her. She’s beautiful. She walked towards the center and signal me to her station. That’s exactly what a single nervous guy needs: a gorgeous girl to service him. I can’t help but feel intimindated as I approach the counter. Then, I jumped the gun. It was too soon and I knew it was over when I blurted “I’m celebrating my birthday [11/17] and was wondering if there are any complimentary upgrades”. It came out too soon. She doesn’t even know my name yet. But she played it cool. “I’ll see what we have”. I was prepared for this. I had my Jackson between the id and the translucent AMEX. I wanted her to know I was ready. She looked and saw me playing with it, moving it back and forth. She asked for it, the id. I hesitated. I gave her the id but I didn’t give her the Jackson. I should have if I wanted her to give me what I want. So I asked for it “I have some friends coming over, could I get a larger room?” She offered a Resort Suite with a small view of the Bellagio fountain. At this point, I was desperate and I would have taken anything I could get my hands on. I gave her the Jackson with my AMEX to close it. She’s well trained and experienced. As soon as the Jackson was in her palm, it vanished like magic trick. We sealed the deal and then we parted.

We had gotten a resort suite but there was no view of bellagio fountains. We can see the far left Bellagio tower but not enough to catch a glimpse of the fountain. Then there was construction going on next to Bellagio (across from us). Did you know construction of a new shopping mall is allowed 24 hours a day in Vegas? It was noisy but we were all pretty tired at the end of each evening. Oh and I had tried to do a $5 trick on the room maid for extra soap, shampoo, etc. (I wrote and left a note) I only got ONE extra set. At least we got turn over service on the 2nd night. It was educational and fun. Thanks for the tip!

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Deluxe /w View  from  Base Room

Placed 20 b/t ID and CC a man in late 20’s took the bill and asked how he could help me. Asked if there were any comp upgrades and he started checking (i was not too hopeful since i am here 7 days) After 6-7 mins he said all set. Got upgraded from base room to delux in south tower with a strip view. Total for 7 days 400 and change.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Fountain View  from  Deluxe Room

Took out my credit card and folded the $20 under it. Passed to the rep and asked if there were any upgrades available. She did a quick check and said she can get me a fountain view(aka view of the Bellagio). When I asked about the room, kind of hinting for a better upgrade, she mentioned how the room is typically an extra $30 a night which was a hint for me to shut up and take the room, which I did.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Resort Room  from  Deluxe Room

This guy seemed to know what to do and had the CC and the $20 on the keyboard and was actively looking for something better. They ended up with a resort room on the 19th floor with a view of the south end of the strip (MGM, NY NY, Monte Carlo).

We got the room thru a deal on fat wallet ($59, $59, $179 plus 2for1 buffet and free show tix etc, no club card required). My husband did the checking in with the $20 under the card asking for any upgrades. He was told that we were already upgraded to a 100sq ft more (resort room). My husband asked if there were any other complementary upgrades available descretely flashing the $20. The clerk then pulled out a sheet with prices for upgrades if we wanted them. The clerk then grabbed the CC and the twenty dropped on the counter and he didn’t seem to know what to do with it. My husband ended up leaving it with the clerk in the end (although he was kind of mad the $20 didn’t work like we expected.) The resort rooms are nice but we were on the 9th floor with a view of a roof/wall with the eiffel tower above it.

Booked via hotel website with promo code.
Upon check-in, asked for complimentary upgrade. No go, room full he said. Then slipped the $20 bill, and a few keystrokes later, upgraded to bigger room with the strip view(19th floor i think).
Tried to push for the suite, no go, full he said.

Booked with the gas saving package for $89 each night and a $40 gas credit on their website, so it comes around to $69 a night. I casually handed the guy my cards with the $20, he immediately knew what’s going on. Told him would like to get a nicer room. He gave me a deluxe room on the 38th floor directly in front of the Bellagio fountain. The view was great, then the guy called me up to see if it’s up to my liking. I told him I prefer nicer room over views. So he told me to come down and gave me the resort room on the 23th floor instead. He told me he would have gave me an even nicer room but I arrived late at night and all the better ones were out, after typing on the computer for a few minutes.

Definetly worth it for the bigger room and the way better bathroom.

Planet Hollywood Details

Planet Hollywood is a Las Vegas resort and casino that was founded in 1991 by Bryan Kestner, a former actor, producer and businessman. Kestner was the founder of the Hard Rock Café, which turned out to be highly successful. He believed his Planet Hollywood venture would be equally so. The company was pretty profitable initially, but things went downhill in the 20th century. Planet Hollywood had to change hands before things started to improve.

The casino has received support from numerous celebrities. It faced a history of financial problems due to poor management and was eventually sold to Caesars Entertainment in 2010. Under new management, it has become one of the most popular casinos in The Entertainment Capital of the World.

Well Known Celebrities Support Planet Hollywood Brand

Planet Hollywood is one of the best known casinos in the world. One of the reasons it is so famous is that a large number of celebrities have endorsed it over the years. A-list celebrities that support the casino include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Demi Demore and Sylvester Salone. The casino gave many of these actors free Esops in exchange for their patronage, which helped boost the brand.

However, the value of the publicity they provided declined as they got older and their performance in the box offices started to decline. According to the Economic Times, the casino’s revenues declined after they gold older, which contributed to the problems that led to the casino filing for bankruptcy twice.

After Caesar took over the ailing establishment, it has found new ways to leverage celebrities to boost its reputation. In a rather controversial move, Planet Hollywood recently hosted a showdown between GOP presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Marco Rubio. Planet Hollywood has also recently provided accommodations to Pitbull, Janet Jackson and other leading celebrities, which is helping improve its brand.

Britney Spears has recently spent $100,000 to make a career comeback, which includes a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood. She will be making dozens of performances at the resort, which is expected to help create traction for both parties.

Customer Reviews of Planet Hollywood

Planet Hollywood is one of the highest rated casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. It is recommended by 86% of Expedia members that have visited it.

There are a number of reasons that Planet Hollywood is so strongly recommended. It is well-known for having attentive staff and providing fun activities, both for people that want to gamble or enjoy the resort. Many people have said that it is especially good for single people, since there aren’t many kids around. However, one of the biggest reasons that many people enjoy their stay at Planet Hollywood is that it is right in the center of the Strip, which makes it easy to enjoy their stay in Las Vegas.
