Saint Patrick's Day

Saint Patrick’s Day in Las Vegas has a chance to be the most epic celebration of the holiday in years. Typically Saint Patrick’s Day falls during spring break and that’s always a fun celebration in Las Vegas. However, this year St. Paddy’s Day lands on one of the busiest days of the year in Las Vegas.

Thursday, March 17 is the beginning of the first weekend of March Madness. Not only is this is one of the busiest weekends for sports fans in Las Vegas but it’s one of the busiest weekends of the entire year of Las Vegas. Adding Saint Patrick’s Day to the already electric weekend might make this one of the most explosive party days of the year.

While every casino has their marketing team in high gear to promote every bar for Saint Patrick’s Day there are really only a few pubs that are Irish all year around. Here are some of the best bars and pubs to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day.

Vegas Strip

Nine Fine Irishmen (New York-New York)

This is arguably the best Irish pub on the Vegas Strip. The location and atmosphere make it my favorite Irish pub in Las Vegas. Nine Fine Irishmen has a clean New York City Irish pub feel to it every day. This is the place to be if you’re looking for a real Saint Patrick’s Day party. In fact, the party is so big that it lasts for 3 nights. Celtic Feis is celebrating it’s 7th year at New York-New York. Festivities kick off with live entertainment beginning at 9 a.m. outside on the Brooklyn Bridge. The entertainment continues all day and deep into the night both inside and outside of the pub. If you like Harp, Guinness, authentic Irish food and bagpipes this is definitely the place to be on Saint Patrick’s Day.

Ri Ra (Mandalay Bay)

Ri Ra is a small chain of 9 Irish pubs across America. Their Las Vegas location is inside Mandalay Bay Place, the mall between the Luxor and Mandalay Bay. Ri Ra offers a more authentic Irish Pub experience than you’d expect for a chain bar and restaurant in a mall. They beef up the Irish-style fun on Saint Patrick’s Day with entertainment all day and night.

Off The Vegas Strip

Mcmullan’s Irish Pub (Across from the Orleans)

Mcmullan’s is the perfect combination of a local Irish watering hole and kitschy bar that tourists love. This is a great authentic Irish pub every day but they go all out for special events like Lepre-Con and Saint Patrick’s Day. Not only is this a great place to enjoy the holiday but there are ample TV’s to watch the slew of basketball games that will be on for March Madness.

Honorable Mention

Tilted Kilt, O’Sheas and The Linq

You might know Tilted Kilt as the national Irish version of a breastaurant chain similar to Hooters and Twin Peaks. The vibe is more chain restaurant than Irish pub but it will be a fun place at The Linq to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day. O’Sheas casino, on the other side of The Linq promenade, will be home base for The Linq Bloq Party taking place throughout the promenade on Saint Patrick’s Day. There will be entertainment all day including bagpipers, leprechauns, stilt walkers and bands. Each of the bars and restaurants at The Linq promenade will offer drink and/or food specials.
