Las Vegas provides endless ways to get a thrill. If the term adrenaline junkie accurately describes you, any of these thrill rides in Las Vegas can offer up the ultimate fix.

Canyon Blaster and El Loco
 at Circus Circus

locoWith its pink glass dome covering five-and-a-half acres on the west side of the Las Vegas Strip, the Adventuredome at Circus Circus is difficult to miss. Underneath the glass, you’ll find more than two dozen rides and attractions, including the Canyon Blaster and El Loco roller coasters. The Canyon Blaster propels you at 55 mph through the only double corkscrew, double loop indoor coaster ride on the planet. You can go ahead and double your fun with a ride on the El Loco. This one guarantees to put your heart in your throat with its 90-foot climb and backward dive that will have you pulling 1.5 vertical Gs. Throw in a 180-degree turn that drops you into a barrel roll, a custom soundtrack blaring through speakers mounted in the seats, various twists and turns and what you get is a 72-second white-knuckle experience sure to leave your knees wobbly.

The High Roller
 at The LINQ

highrollerRide the High Roller at the LINQ and it’s not the speed that will make your heart race. It’s the height. Climb aboard one of the observation wheel’s 28 cabins and prepare to be in awe as you take a leisurely climb to 550 feet before slowly returning to terra firma. Each climate-controlled cabin accommodates up to 40 passengers and the wheel takes 30 minutes to make a single revolution. Guests have the option of sitting on benches or walking around the cabin. Happy Half Hour specials run from noon until 1 am on Friday through Sunday and from 4 pm until 1 am on Monday through Thursday. Tickets include one ride and all you can drink in 30 minutes from the capsule’s open bar.

Tower Rides at Stratosphere

insanityIf 550 feet doesn’t impress you, maybe 1,000 feet will. Insanity, Big Shot, X-Scream and Sky Jump are perched high atop the Stratosphere tower and collectively they are highest thrill rides in the world. Shoot to the top of the tower’s mast on Big Shot to experience four Gs going up and negative Gs coming back down. Insanity features multiple mechanical arms with suspended seats. The arms turn in circles while tilting the seats to 70 degrees offering riders a look straight down to the street far below. X-Scream is an open roller coaster car that travels along a ramp extending 29 feet past the edge of the tower. When the car reaches the end of the line, the ramp tilts downward before the car reverses its direction and returns to its resting position. Try Sky Jump and you can hurl yourself off the 108th floor in a controlled bungee jump freefall. All rides are set against the backdrop of the magnificent Las Vegas skyline, so you can’t go wrong with the view.

VooDoo Zip Line
 at Rio Suite

The VooDoo ZipLine isn’t a traditional zipline where gravity provides the downward momentum but it is an exhilarating ride between the Rio Suite’s Ipanema and Masquerade Towers aboard a motorized seat built for two. The ride travels 500 feet between the two towers at a height of 450 feet. The VooDoo ZipLine is open daily from noon until midnight and is restricted to riders 21 and older after 7:30 pm.
