Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Premium Fountain View  from  Hollywood Hip Room

Gave the nice gentleman the sandwich and was upgraded with no problem. It was only a single night but the upgraded room was totally worth it.

Saved:  $200+ Tipped:  $40 Upgraded to  Resort Room  from  Hollywood Hip Room

It was too busy to target anyone in particular but we spoke with a very nice woman. I handed her my card, ID, and $40. Before I could say anything she saw the tip and said “thanks, I’ll see what I can do for you!” Her first offer was the panoramic suite which was $400 more per night but offered to talk to her manager to see what they could do four us. We declined because it only had one king and we had four people in our room but I wish I could’ve known what they were willing to do! Instead she upgraded us to a premium fountain view room that was larger with a beautiful view of the bellagio fountains and the entire strip. She also waived the early check in fee and offered us a complimentary roll away. It definitely worked! Just give it a try!

Saved:  $$260 Tipped:  $40 Upgraded to  PH Resort Vistas  from  Hollywood Hip Room

I did a double twenty because I had two requests. We had a 3rd staying with us but a roll-away was going to cost an extra $30/night if we booked it in advance so that was request #1. The second request was for a room upgrade (I specifically asked for the Resort Vista room because it was larger. Our helpful attendant was very accommodating, took care of everything and even helped our friends who were checking in next to us to also upgrade *their* room so they would be on the same floor as us.

Saved:  $$80 Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Premium Fountain View  from  Hollywood Hip Room

Came in late at 9PM on a Monday night. Eschewed the express self checkin, and TotalRewards App checkin, and did the ‘sandwich.’ He set it aside and gave us a nicer room, he said worth $80 more, with a view of Bellagio fountains, huge bathroom, with two sinks on each side, tub and separate shower. He prefaced the tip as a tip for his service, not the room (maybe the supervisor showed up?).

Saved:  $Not sure, but we were comped for 6 nights; only paid for one, not including resort fees. Tipped:  $40 Upgraded to  Premium Fountain View  from  Hollywood Hip Room

We arrived about 11:30 a.m., so there was only one clerk. I decided I would try $40 just to make it worth the clerk’s effort. I handed over the sandwich and said, “I was wondering if there was a comped upgrade available.” She said, “Let me see what we have for you.” My heart sank because I thought she was just going to give me my reserved room. She said she was giving me a high floor with a view and a nicer room. The room was on the 20th floor in the south tower overlooking the Bellagio fountains. It was all I could have asked for. I don’t know that I have ever spent a better $40. Our stay was for 6 nights. Our flight home didn’t leave until 11 p.m. They comped us another night in the same upgraded room. I would recommend Planet Hollywood to anyone. Also, I, too, was nervous about asking for the comped upgrade (especially since 5 of my 6 nights were already comped), but the clerk didn’t even wince. It seemed to me that she was comfortable with the request even if she had been unable to fulfill it. So, if anyone is thinking of asking, I encourage you to ASK. If it is denied, it will probably be done politely and you will not be forced to feel embarrassed.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Premium Fountain View  from  Hollywood Hip Room

After a long day, we finally reached our hotel around 6:15pm. Looked around but didn’t really have a specific clerk to target. Went up to the clerk and said “hi, I’m checking in.” Drew up a mini conversation with her and asked her if there were any complimentary upgraded available. Handed her my “sandwhich” and her reply was “let me see what we have.” A few minutes later, she said “I have a fountain view available.” SCORE! I was nervous as all heck trying this and it worked!

Tipped:  $40 Upgraded to  Premium Fountain View  from  Hollywood Hip Room

We arrived at around 11 a.m. after getting off our flight. There was a decent queue of customers checking out so we really weren’t able to target any specific clerk. We were directed forward to a youngish woman in her 30’s, with two $20’s sandwiched between the license and credit card.

All we asked for is that our flight was early and we were hoping to check in early, if at all possible. Once she saw the money she immediately said, “let me see what I can do for you!” and proceeded to start typing away on the computer. Not only did she waive the early check in fee, but she upgraded us to a premium fountain view room that was considerably larger than the rest of the people in our group’s rooms after they had checked in. Overall, a very painless process that led to some fantastic views and a more enjoyable stay!

Saved:  $300 Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Premium Fountain View  from  Hollywood Hip Room

There were 3 clerks when I arrived. I was eyeing up the guy in his 20s where the other 2 didn’t look like they would go for it. I handed over my ID Credit Card with the 20 between. He took a peak seen the 20, said lets see what I can do. He started typing away found a fountain view room for me. He felt very bad that the room was not ready for an early checkin but still gave me the better room. Not bad for a 5 night stay.

Came in at about 10PM, few people in line. Targeted a very nice young women, started small talk and explained to her it was my girlfriend and my first time in Las Vegas and it was also her birthday. Gave her the sandwich and she said an upgrade would definitely be available. Upgraded from a resort room to vista resort room which is their junior suite, complete with a huge bathroom and a soaking tub next to a nice window view of the strip. Checked in on a Sunday night and checked out on Thursday.

Saved:  $Approx $80/night Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Premium Fountain View  from  Hollywood Hip Room

We checked in around 8 pm on a Sunday. We didn’t target any particular clerk, just went to the next available one. I handed over our $20 sandwich and she began thanking us profusely. I then asked if there were any complementary upgrades available for the time we were there. She said oh yes, let me see what I can get you! We got upgraded from their most basic room to a resort room on the 20th floor facing the Bellagio fountains. Best $20 spent

Planet Hollywood Details

Planet Hollywood is a Las Vegas resort and casino that was founded in 1991 by Bryan Kestner, a former actor, producer and businessman. Kestner was the founder of the Hard Rock Café, which turned out to be highly successful. He believed his Planet Hollywood venture would be equally so. The company was pretty profitable initially, but things went downhill in the 20th century. Planet Hollywood had to change hands before things started to improve.

The casino has received support from numerous celebrities. It faced a history of financial problems due to poor management and was eventually sold to Caesars Entertainment in 2010. Under new management, it has become one of the most popular casinos in The Entertainment Capital of the World.

Well Known Celebrities Support Planet Hollywood Brand

Planet Hollywood is one of the best known casinos in the world. One of the reasons it is so famous is that a large number of celebrities have endorsed it over the years. A-list celebrities that support the casino include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Demi Demore and Sylvester Salone. The casino gave many of these actors free Esops in exchange for their patronage, which helped boost the brand.

However, the value of the publicity they provided declined as they got older and their performance in the box offices started to decline. According to the Economic Times, the casino’s revenues declined after they gold older, which contributed to the problems that led to the casino filing for bankruptcy twice.

After Caesar took over the ailing establishment, it has found new ways to leverage celebrities to boost its reputation. In a rather controversial move, Planet Hollywood recently hosted a showdown between GOP presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Marco Rubio. Planet Hollywood has also recently provided accommodations to Pitbull, Janet Jackson and other leading celebrities, which is helping improve its brand.

Britney Spears has recently spent $100,000 to make a career comeback, which includes a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood. She will be making dozens of performances at the resort, which is expected to help create traction for both parties.

Customer Reviews of Planet Hollywood

There are a number of reasons that Planet Hollywood is so strongly recommended. It is well-known for having attentive staff and providing fun activities, both for people that want to gamble or enjoy the resort. Many people have said that it is especially good for single people, since there aren’t many kids around. However, one of the biggest reasons that many people enjoy their stay at Planet Hollywood is that it is right in the center of the Strip, which makes it easy to enjoy their stay in Las Vegas.
