Saved:  $Appx $70 Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Hollywood Hip Room Strip View  from  Hollywood Hip Room

Just stood inline, sandwiched my $20 , and got the next available clerk. It was 2 pm on a wed (currently it’s September 20th). Said nothing when he received the Sammy, asked what brought me to Vegas and “let’s see what I can do for you *looking up reservation*” I booked a one night comp stay in a smoking room with 2 queens, I received a 2 bed bellagio fountain view, non smoking room on the 14th floor and waived early check in fee.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Large resort room with fridge  from  Hollywood hip

My friend and I came down for a birthday vacation, both used the 20$ sandwich at two different guys, both upgraded us! My friend got a penthouse 51st floor room overlooking the strip, and I got a resort room which is pretty huge. 2 nights into the 5 night trip we said you know what? Let’s push our luck and find the same guys and throw them another 20 apiece when it’s slow on Sunday and less people are checked in, and…… Both got ANOTHER upgrade! Massive room with 4 windows overlooking the strip, refrigerators 2 large tvs….. The works. Moral? Be super friendly, and take care of the desk. We just picked the happiest looking ones!

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Hollywood Hip Room  from  Hollywood Hip Room

Arrived at 10:00PM.
I prepared my $20 sandwich while waiting in line.

After he asked for my I.D.,
I asked “Are there any complimentary upgrades available today?
for example, How about Strip Suite?”

He slid the $20 under his keyboard and
He was confirming his PC about 3-5min.

After that, he showed room guide of PANORAMA SUITE!!!!

I was surprised and I asked t him.
¨How great! It is not joke?”

Panorama suite is including 1255 sq ft,
Living, Jacuzzi bath room and nice view to
fountain show of Bellagio.

It is at least $800/night from our original booking,
(I stayed there few years ago)
And my reservation is for 2 nights.
so we saved $1,600!!!!!!

Thanks, Thanks $20 sandwich & frontdesktip.com !!!!!

Saved:  $$200 Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  PH Resort Vistas  from  Hollywood Hip Room

Checked in Sunday 2/9/20 Originally booked the Ultra Hip Room for a (2) night stay. On arrival the line was a bit long, but I still opted to wait in line instead of doing the kiosk auto checkin, so I could try the “$20 Trick” and see if it would work since it was my first time trying such thing. Lucky me, a nice young lady on the VIP Registration side raised her hand and said she could help me. I Started by greeting her politely with small talk and I did as advised, tucked the $20 bill in between my ID and CC. Handed it to her when she asked for it and before I could even fully finish asking that I was wondering if there were any “complimentary upgrades available” she just said “ooh” smiled, and nodded saying Yes and that she would see what she could do. She then said yup, and that she would be upgrading me to a Suite. I said thank you and then she asked me if I also needed late checkout, to which I said sure why not. She asked if 1:00pm was fine and I said yes. I was upgraded to an Ultra Resort Vista Room, with a King Bed. Lots of big windows with amazing views of the Strip on the 17th floor. Spacious room with a really nice big tub separate from the shower which included a view of the strip as well. Definitely worth doing the $20 trick and from now on it’s a must do every time!!!! Upgraded to a suite and late checkout + waived the Resort fees which most of you know are $40+ per night. To anyone seeing this, just remember to be polite and smile. Trick should work! Happy Travels 🙂 Thank you

Tipped:  $50 Upgraded to  Unsure  from  Hollywood Hip Room

Didn’t target anyone specific, just went to the next available clerk. Checked in around on Wednesday February 19th, 2020 at 7:30PM. We tipped $60 at check-in, and asked if there were any complimentary upgrades. She said she didn’t have anything available, and tried giving us our money back. We let her keep it though, whatever it’s Vegas. She did give us a $50 certificate for room service or something though which we didn’t end up using. Our view did end up being great though with a view of the fountains, so she may have upgraded our view, but we could have also had that room anyways so really not sure. She was really friendly though and felt bad she couldn’t do anything.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Unsure  from  Hollywood Hip Room

We checked in around 5:30pm. Line wasn’t to busy.

Tried the $20 between my credit card and driving licence and asked if there was any room upgrades available.

The girl straight away said ‘we cannot accept that’. She then brought out a sheet with room upgrade prices on it.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Hollywood Hip Room  from  Hollywood Hip Room

Upon checking in, I handed over my $20 sandwich to the front desk lady and she quickly turned it down and said we don’t do that here. She offered discounted rates two times upon our conversation. I simply declined as it was overpriced and obviously cheaper to book online. No luck.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Premium Fountain View  from  Hollywood Hip Room

Booked a comped Hollywood Hip room through Caesars rewards for a weekend in late February during my birthday. Since I spent virtually nothing to book the room, I was a bit worried that $20 wouldn’t be enough, but it was worth a shot. Not sure if it was because it was my birthday, using the sandwich trick or maybe both, but I got upgraded to a fountain view room that was double the size of my original room. $20 well spent.
P.S. If they ask if you would rather have a fountain view or a strip view, always go for the fountain view, because it also has a good view of the strip.

Saved:  $200+ Tipped:  $40 Upgraded to  Resort Room  from  Hollywood Hip Room

It was too busy to target anyone in particular but we spoke with a very nice woman. I handed her my card, ID, and $40. Before I could say anything she saw the tip and said “thanks, I’ll see what I can do for you!” Her first offer was the panoramic suite which was $400 more per night but offered to talk to her manager to see what they could do four us. We declined because it only had one king and we had four people in our room but I wish I could’ve known what they were willing to do! Instead she upgraded us to a premium fountain view room that was larger with a beautiful view of the bellagio fountains and the entire strip. She also waived the early check in fee and offered us a complimentary roll away. It definitely worked! Just give it a try!

Planet Hollywood Details

Planet Hollywood is a Las Vegas resort and casino that was founded in 1991 by Bryan Kestner, a former actor, producer and businessman. Kestner was the founder of the Hard Rock Café, which turned out to be highly successful. He believed his Planet Hollywood venture would be equally so. The company was pretty profitable initially, but things went downhill in the 20th century. Planet Hollywood had to change hands before things started to improve.

The casino has received support from numerous celebrities. It faced a history of financial problems due to poor management and was eventually sold to Caesars Entertainment in 2010. Under new management, it has become one of the most popular casinos in The Entertainment Capital of the World.

Well Known Celebrities Support Planet Hollywood Brand

Planet Hollywood is one of the best known casinos in the world. One of the reasons it is so famous is that a large number of celebrities have endorsed it over the years. A-list celebrities that support the casino include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Demi Demore and Sylvester Salone. The casino gave many of these actors free Esops in exchange for their patronage, which helped boost the brand.

However, the value of the publicity they provided declined as they got older and their performance in the box offices started to decline. According to the Economic Times, the casino’s revenues declined after they gold older, which contributed to the problems that led to the casino filing for bankruptcy twice.

After Caesar took over the ailing establishment, it has found new ways to leverage celebrities to boost its reputation. In a rather controversial move, Planet Hollywood recently hosted a showdown between GOP presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Marco Rubio. Planet Hollywood has also recently provided accommodations to Pitbull, Janet Jackson and other leading celebrities, which is helping improve its brand.

Britney Spears has recently spent $100,000 to make a career comeback, which includes a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood. She will be making dozens of performances at the resort, which is expected to help create traction for both parties.

Customer Reviews of Planet Hollywood

Planet Hollywood is one of the highest rated casinos on the Las Vegas Strip. It is recommended by 86% of Expedia members that have visited it.

There are a number of reasons that Planet Hollywood is so strongly recommended. It is well-known for having attentive staff and providing fun activities, both for people that want to gamble or enjoy the resort. Many people have said that it is especially good for single people, since there aren’t many kids around. However, one of the biggest reasons that many people enjoy their stay at Planet Hollywood is that it is right in the center of the Strip, which makes it easy to enjoy their stay in Las Vegas.
