Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Regular Room  from  Regular Room

When I handed him my ID and credit card, with the $20 bill peeking out between them, he handed the bill back right away and said, “Sorry, but we don’t have any upgrades available because we are at high capacity.” Although it is not the reason I came to town, I will be staying until Friday and the NASCAR race, which is a big draw, is in town, so I believe that may be why

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Resort Room w/ fountain view  from  Deluxe Room

Might have gotten the same upgrade from just asking nicely. The room wasn’t on a high floor but was good enough, and construction noise wasn’t a big problem. They also didn’t charge me the extra $30 for having an extra person; don’t know if that was because of the tip or an oversight or what.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Resort (next level up)  from  Deluxe (basic)

Handed over my DL and CC with the $20 visible in between. Asked if there were any complimentary upgrades available and she said, “Of course.” I was upgraded from the standard room to a Resort room on the top floor. It was the most spectacular view I have ever had in Vegas (Bellagio Fountains, Eiffel Tower, etc.). During check in there was a supervisor standing directly behind the clerk. The clerk made no effort to hide the tip and as I walked away I could hear the supervisor compliment the clerk on the way she handled the check-in prodcedure.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Resort with fountain view  from  Deluxe

We booked the room with a players club promo that came up about a week before we were traveling. Checked in at 1PM thinking to avoid the lines which we did. I handed the clerk my $20. along with ID and credit card and asked if there were any upgrades available. After tapping on his keyboard for a few minutes he offered me a choice between a resort room or one with a view. I hesitated a moment and said that it was a tough choice, we had three women rooming together. He tapped a bit more and said that if we wanted to wait a bit for it to be cleaned he could get us a resort room with a view. Since we had already stored our bags with friends we said we would wait.

Our room was ready when we went back down at 3PM. It worked very well for the three of us, lots of room (housekeeping even brought us extra luggage stands), nice size bathroom, great view of both Paris and the fountains. Still quite a bit of construction going on but it didn’t disturb us a bit.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Second Resort Room with perfect fountain view  from  Basic Deluxe

I had heard about the 50th and 51st floors, so decided to try for one of those – after some discussion and “permission from his boss” we were given the keys to a deluxe rooom on the 50th floor, unfortunately I did not realise that both these floors, which are normally reserved for known casino players, are both smoking. As an asthmatic this was not good for me so we went back down and negotiated the second deal which was a 100% success.

A great hotel, perfect location, the alterations are almost done, the Spice Market buffet is back in the basement and, once again, one of Vegas’ best. back again in March at an unbeatable $49 per night.

Shot down on the $20 trick at the Aladdin… can’t remember the name of the clerk, but he was Asian, slightly chunky, and perhaps in his late 20s/early 30s.

30th Nov check-in, 4 night stay.

I asked about upgrades with a $20 visible under my credit card on the counter, the guy pulled out a list of rates. Asked if he could do any better and fully pulled out the $20 from under the card and practically waved it at him, and asked him if he could do any better on the upgrade, he didn’t budge.

Weird as I don’t think it was a particularly busy time either. The Rodeo was in town but that’s about it. As it happened, I thought the ‘standard’ room was fine so no major issues, but the disappointment of no upgrade did put me off spending money in their casino. And the pinks hot dogs in the restaurant there SUCKED.

Planet Hollywood Details

Planet Hollywood is a Las Vegas resort and casino that was founded in 1991 by Bryan Kestner, a former actor, producer and businessman. Kestner was the founder of the Hard Rock Café, which turned out to be highly successful. He believed his Planet Hollywood venture would be equally so. The company was pretty profitable initially, but things went downhill in the 20th century. Planet Hollywood had to change hands before things started to improve.

The casino has received support from numerous celebrities. It faced a history of financial problems due to poor management and was eventually sold to Caesars Entertainment in 2010. Under new management, it has become one of the most popular casinos in The Entertainment Capital of the World.

Well Known Celebrities Support Planet Hollywood Brand

Planet Hollywood is one of the best known casinos in the world. One of the reasons it is so famous is that a large number of celebrities have endorsed it over the years. A-list celebrities that support the casino include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Demi Demore and Sylvester Salone. The casino gave many of these actors free Esops in exchange for their patronage, which helped boost the brand.

However, the value of the publicity they provided declined as they got older and their performance in the box offices started to decline. According to the Economic Times, the casino’s revenues declined after they gold older, which contributed to the problems that led to the casino filing for bankruptcy twice.

After Caesar took over the ailing establishment, it has found new ways to leverage celebrities to boost its reputation. In a rather controversial move, Planet Hollywood recently hosted a showdown between GOP presidential hopefuls Donald Trump and Marco Rubio. Planet Hollywood has also recently provided accommodations to Pitbull, Janet Jackson and other leading celebrities, which is helping improve its brand.

Britney Spears has recently spent $100,000 to make a career comeback, which includes a two-year residency at Planet Hollywood. She will be making dozens of performances at the resort, which is expected to help create traction for both parties.

Customer Reviews of Planet Hollywood

There are a number of reasons that Planet Hollywood is so strongly recommended. It is well-known for having attentive staff and providing fun activities, both for people that want to gamble or enjoy the resort. Many people have said that it is especially good for single people, since there aren’t many kids around. However, one of the biggest reasons that many people enjoy their stay at Planet Hollywood is that it is right in the center of the Strip, which makes it easy to enjoy their stay in Las Vegas.
