Was kind of reluctant but decided to give it a shot. Pretty girl behind the desk searched and found me an upgraded room. Stayed in Carson Tower last year and was upgraded to Rush Tower this year. Improvement indeed. Nice birthday present.

2.30pm check in. Sat 15th June. It was actually my birthday so I pointed this out and said if I give you money will you give me a better room. She smiled and said yes. 25th floor newly refurbished (I think) Rush Tower Gold Club with a view of the strip.

Tried at the front desk on a Saturday night, no wait in line, but the clerk immediately handed back my twenty without much comment, other than I can’t accept this.
