Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  North Tower Jr. Suite  from  South Tower King Standard

So arrived on Wednesday at about 5:30 pm. The line was fairly long and I was bummed out I hadn’t gotten there earlier. I didn’t have a choice of clerk but I got this really lovely African American gentleman who was super cheerful and nice. I handed him my $20 “sandwich” and he immediately saw it. He said he was looking for a great room for me. I knew I didn’t have to say anything and that he got the message just with the tip. I joked that I was bummed out about the resort fees. I was staying alone for 5 nights and he got me a Jr. Suite on the 21st floor. It had a great view down the strip of the new Linq. I was super pleased. BUT WAIT! There’s MORE! I was checking out today and I went to my TV screen to check out my bill. He had given me a credit to cover my resort fees and he hadn’t even told me he was doing it!!! Loved him! Was a total surprise. This is the third time I’ve gotten an upgrade at Bally’s. The first time I was staying 10 days and got an upgrade for $20 for the entire time. Very, very pleased.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Jubilee king  from  Indigo king

Forgot the name of the young girl, but I arrived
late on Friday, around 1030pm. I didn\\\’t know if anything would even be left. But I handed her the tip sandwich ($20), and asked about upgrades. I was upgraded to Jubilee towers at no additional charge. I booked indigo towers for $75 a night (early reservation), so getting a room that usually runs closer to $150 per night on weekends was substantial enough for me. Jubilee towers are the newly renovated rooms of Bally\\\’s. Highly recommend, and will definitely do this again!

Tipped:  $10 Upgraded to  Mini-Suite  from  Comped a regular room

Passed the Gold Line with no wait at the Platinum line. Handed the nice lady $10 c/c and D/L. Did not say a word as it was Labor Day weekend. All she said was “all we have left is a mini-suite, 24th floor in the Diamond Area! Wife and I were very pleased. They even let us print out our airline tickets the next day for free!

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  North Tower Deluxe   from  South Tower Classic

There was just one large line when we arrived so we weren’t able to target a particular clerk. We ended up with a clerk of Asian decent who greeted us friendly. I approached cheerfully and wished her a happy Valentine’s Day. As I handed my ID and card with the $20 I asked if there were any comp upgrades available. She offered a North Tower deluxe with strip view (albeit a limited strip view based on how the North Tower sits) She told us to come back down and see her if we weren’t happy, but it wasn’t necessary.

Tipped:  $50 Upgraded to  South Tower Grand Suite  from  South Tower Classic

Got in late to Vegas due to flight delays and arrived at Ballys around 11pm. Only a few people in line with 2 clerks working. Was planning on doing the $20 trick, but gave my last 20 to the cab driver, so only had $50\’s…so after her doing her thing, I passed over the $50 (didn\’t sandwich it, just discreetly with her seeing passed it over) and she said, \”Yes, I think I can help you…would you like a strip view?\” I said yes, and she said…I can give you a Suite in the south tower, high up with a great view, or a suite in the north tower…newer, but not a great view. I chose the south tower with the view. So I got the South Tower Grande Suite for 4 days for $50. Room was great…HUGE…sunken jaccuzi, great view.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  south tower celebrity suite  from  north tower classic

I used the platinum check in line because I am currently a platinum member and it was about 2am in the morning on Saturday because we had a wedding Friday night and drove straight to Vegas after. I had booked a comp room in the north tower and gave her $20 between my rewards card and ID and she already knew to check for a comp room and told her we were there for a late celebration for my birthday and she gave us South Tower Celebrity Suite.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Grand Suite  from  Classic

My Girlfriend and I flew in at 9pm on Friday night. We were there until Monday night. We got to Bally’s at 10pm after getting our bags and a BS cab ride along the freeway. There was a line of about 10-15 people and 5 clerks working. I had no way of targeting which person called us up. I placed the $20 between my ID and credit card, with a sliver sticking out so whomever got it would know. We were waved over by an older woman with short hair. I gave her the sandwich and asked her “if there were any complementary room upgrades available.” She immediately took out the $20 and put it under the counter, and she said “lets see what we can do for you.” After 10 min of her clicking the keys and small talk about us being there for our 30th birthdays, she gave us our room key’s and said i hope this will be ok for you. Please let me know if you do not approve of this. 15th Floor room with a Jacuzzi tub, King bed and a view of the Bellagio’s Fountains for $20 more? I approve!!! My GF was super nervous and I was 100% confident this would work and it did. Everyone should try this when they go to Vegas!

Tipped:  $40 Upgraded to  grand suite south tower  from  15th floor North tower standard room

Went to Vegas with my wife for our 21 st wedding aniversary. Checked in on Mothers Day at 11:am . Was directed to a young man in his early 20,s. Told him it was our first trip to vegas and was our anniversary and heard good things about Ballys. He said that our room on the 15th floor was ready and asked me for my id. I put my id on the counter with 2 twentys visible to him and kept my hand on it. I asked if there was any complimentary room upgrades . He said sure and I took my hand off the id and he took it with the 2 twentys. he upgraded us to a Jr suite in the north tower. We get to the room and the shower was not working well and the ironing board is broke and the view was not to good. I went back down to the lobby and talked to the person who checked us in and said we were a little disappointed with the room. he said no problem and printed out 2 keys to another room for us to check out. It was basically the same room. We went back down and said that we will keep our room and just to get us an ironing board that works. He said he would check again and printed out 2 new keys to a room on the 22 fl. We checke it out and it was awesome. 3 times the size of the JR suite. Great viw of the strip. Upgraded to a grand suite. So in retrospect not sure if it was the complaint or the tip that got us the upgrade. But I dont think the tip hurt.

Tipped:  $50 Upgraded to  north tower mini suite  from  south tower classic

Stayed at Bally’s for our honeymoon. My wife was nervous about me trying, but I felt confident that $50 would get us something. We checked in at 3 pm on a sunday afternoon. It was pretty busy so we didnt have a choice of clerk. The clerk was a young woman. We told her we had a reservation. I had a $50 sandwich already made up. I asked “Do you have any complimentary upgrades available” she said of “course!” She then set my money aside and typed some into her computer. we made friendly small talk and she said “I could really use this 50 bucks!” Upgraded from a South tower classic to a North Tower Mini suite with a fridge and wetbar. I was really happy just to get an upgrade, but would recommend you ask for something specific if you know whats available..a room with a jacuzzi for example. I would definately try this again!

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  North tower Jr. Suite  from  South tower basic

Apx 7pm on a Thursday night. The clerk had just opened far to the right of the rest of the desk. Smiled nicely, gave her the $20 along with cc and ID. Looked through a few options, decided that since we were there for 6 nights, we would prefer a much more modern, larger Jr. Suite “that normally would be $40 more per night”. Well the room was nice enough, very large. Had a powder room, flat screen, coffee maker (worth the tip right there when thr casinos charge $6 a cup downstairs) and the ultamite…the toilet phone.
