Around 1145 ish on a Saturday night I arrived at Bally’s. I had some information from a few friends that this $20 sandwich really goes a long way. The clerk looked fairly young and in my mind I thought she seems like she would definitely help me out. She took my ID and credit card and I quickly mentioned that if she could wave her magical wand and give me an amazing upgrade I would be very happy. She said “Let me see what I can find available.” She checked and by my lucky stars the celebrity suite was available!!

Cha-Ching! Went from having a normal room with no view, to a celebrity suite. Definitely Worth it.

Saved:  $$100/night Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Indigo Junior Suite  from  Indigo Room

There was no line at check-in but there were only a couple people working.
I approached the guy who happened to be wearing a Broncos Jersey. It was 8:30pm Sunday check-in, I already had an offer for 3 complimentary nights and a friend who was staying at hotel who arrived earlier. The desk clerk told me there was no fridge in room so all I asked for was a room with a fridge. He ended up putting us in a Jacuzzi suite and said he would have a fridge sent up to the room. Within 5 minutes a gentleman rolled a cart with a fridge on it into the room. I tipped him as well and left $5/day for housekeeping. I believe in good Karma. It definitely made our stay one of the best.

Saved:  $$100 per night we were staying from online prices Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Unsure  from  Jubilee Room

We arrived at noon on a Monday, they had ppl pushing us towards their kiosks. We have been reading about the sandwich and we’re going to try so we went around the corner and found the early check in line. Folded up my 20 and handed it to our clerk( middle age woman) she took it, recognized it and immediately began typing away. They were doing some kind of construction right on the front desk so talking involved yelling. She asked if we didn’t want the two queen bedroom that we booked and we said no and we were wondering if their were any comp upgrades. She kept typing and when she handed me back my cards she said I put you into the executive suite.

Had no target as the hotel was understaffed. Put a $20 discreetly between my ID and credit card. The clerk immediately pushed it back to me and told me they aren’t doing upgrades (this is a weekday..) I asked if she had anything better available and she offered me a $600/night suite…like seriously?

**We were actually upgraded to a Jubilee Premium Suite**

Checked in around 11am and there was about a 15 min wait to check in. Didn’t get the chance to target anyone unfortunately. We were called by an older woman (name started with R) and I greeted her with small talk and asked about her day. She was clearly flustered but put on a happy face and answered, asking for my ID after. Gave her the 20$ and asked if there was any upgrades she could give us since we were only there for 1 night. She was extremely grateful, ran back to talk to a supervisor for about 5 minutes. She came back with a smile and said we made her day, and for that, “I hooked you guys up”.

We go to our room and discovered we went from a small 300 sq ft room in the old tower we paid 70$ for, to a massive 1700 sq ft new tower suite with separate bedroom and living room, and a huge jacuzzi tub, with a great view of the Eiffel Tower. An amazing upgrade!!! My only sadness was that we were only there for 1 night.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Jubilee Room Strip View  from  Jubilee Room

Original reservation was for an average Jubilee room in February with a 4pm check-in time.

Arrived early at 3pm with a plan to tip $20 in exchange for a Jubilee room strip view along with the waiving of the early check-in fee.

I also planned to tip an additional $20 to be upgraded to a Studio Suite, this would equal a tip of $40 in total.

My first $20 tip was easily accepted and resulted in the waiving of the early check in fee along with receiving a strip view room on the 27th floor.

My second $20 tip would have also been easily accepted except that Bally’s had no Studio Suites available in the Jubilee tower but I was offered a Studio Suite in the North Tower which I declined because of the noise from the Drais nightclubs. I held back the second $20 tip because of this.

All in all the strip view upgrade was worth the first $20 tip but probably will not stay at Ballys again because the Jubilee Tower has too much nighttime noise from the Paris casino outdoor music club along with the noise/music from the Bellagio Fountains.

Tipped:  $20 Upgraded to  Unsure  from  Jubilee Room Strip View

I went on a Tuesday afternoon, it was not super busy, but I waited in line and didn’t have the opportunity to choose a clerk. I asked him how he was doing, gave him my ID/CC with $20 as the meat, and asked if there were any room upgrades available.

My room was changed from the jubilee room strip view to a ‘studio suite.’ I essentially had a view of the Linq High Roller, and could see Caesar’s Palace to the left. So, unsure if it was a ‘true upgrade’ but it was definitely a very nice room.

Tipped:  $50 Upgraded to  Indigo Junior Suite  from  Unsure

I was checking in this past Tuesday afternoon for a four night stay leaving on my birthday, so I thought I had a good chance and opted for the $50 tip because of my longer stay which included a Friday night. I had a comped King smoking room, and anything above that would be great. He gave me the choice of a non smoking suite or a King room with some sort of premium view. I said I wanted the suite. Then he tapped around and said I got you on a higher floor, and I ended up on Floor 14 with a pretty cool High Roller view.
