There’s A Lot Happening At Bellagio

Bellagio Conservatory

Bellagio is one of the most popular hotels in Las Vegas and at Front Desk Tip. The casino resort created by Steve Wynn is also one of the most luxurious MGM Resorts properties. While the casino seems to be hit or miss with complimentary hotel room upgrades, they’re always updating the property to keep it fresh. Let’s take a look at some of the action inside and outside Bellagio

Petrossian Bar

Petrossian, the lobby bar and one of my favorites in Las Vegas is currently closed for renovations. The piano player and old tables have been moved into the check-in area while work is being done on the venue.

Bellagio has one of the busiest lobbies in Las Vegas. On a couple of recent visits, the crowds seem to manage walking around the bar without too much chaos. The lobby is still loud and echoey but this temporary solution seems to be popular as the piano bar is as busy as ever.

Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

Bellagio changes the theme for the Conservatory & Botanical Garden each season as well as for Chinese New Year. The current autumn theme is ironically called “Indian Summer.” This year’s autumn display celebrates the beauty and culture of India. There are golden leaves, soothing waterfalls and, for the first time, two 14-foot exotic elephants.

As you’d imagine the current display is beautiful. The best thing about “Indian Summer” is that they no longer use the creepy tree with following eyes and a creepier smirk.

Check out the Live Web Cam if you’d like to check out the display from home.

The Mayfair Supper Club

Petrossian isn’t the only venue at Bellagio receiving a makeover. Earlier this year, Hyde Lounge closed. The Mayfair Supper Club will take its place as the year comes to an end. The Mayfair Supper club is said to be redefining the traditional “dinner and a show” for today’s traveler. The restaurant will evolve throughout the evening, amplifying in energy as dusk shifts to night.

Guests will be able to indulge in contemporary American cuisine while enjoying live entertainment performances nightly, set to the greatest backdrop in the world – the Bellagio Fountains. The best news is that the bar and patio overlooking the Bellagio Fountains will remain open to the public.

The Mayfair Supper Club will open on New Year’s weekend.

Friends 25th Anniversary

Bellagio will be the host venue for the Friends 25th-anniversary celebration on October 18 and 19. Events kick off on Friday, Oct. 18 when the iconic Fountains of Bellagio will unveil a brand-new show set to the Friends theme song, “I’ll Be There For You” by The Rembrandts.

A variety of events will take place in the New York-New York area. There will be a Friends Fan Experience and “Phoebe’s Yellow Cab Escape Room” outside of the casino at The Brooklyn Bridge. The highlight of the events might be an appearance from Marcel, Ross’s onetime pet Capuchin monkey. Although Marcel has gone on to a successful film career with Jean-Claude Van Damme and more, he’ll be on hand to meet and greet fans. Autographs are discouraged.
