Cosmopolitan Renovations Complete

New Rooms at The Cosmopolitan

The Cosmopolitan completed a yearlong remodel of its 3,033 guest rooms. The renovations started in late 2017 and was finished just as 2018 came to a close.

The full remodel of both The Chelsea and Boulevard Towers results in an entirely new experience for guests. The gut renovations leave no detail untouched. The new rooms at the Cosmopolitan feature modern artwork, clean textiles, statement wall coverings, improved lighting, user-friendly technology, and a more energy-conscious design.

All rooms now have tablets that allow guests to book a variety of activities. Restaurant and spa reservations, purchase show tickets, order room service, schedule wake-up calls may be scheduled with the tablets.

The Cosmopolitan also upgraded their chatbot, Rose, and wifi system. Hotel guests have faster wifi and visitors can now access wifi for free throughout the property.

Lastly, the Cosmopolitan is increasing their resort fee to $39 per night in 2019. The increased fee will allow hotel guests to valet and self-park for no additional charge.

Let’s take a look at some hotel room renovations that we saw in 2018. Some of these renovations are so extensive that they might continue into 2019 and beyond.

Harrah’s completed a $140 million property-wide renovation in early 2018. More than 1,600 rooms at Harrah’s are new. Just make sure to request this when looking for an upgrade.

South Point is renovating hotel rooms in three phases. The first phase of upgrades are now available. More rooms will be renovated in 2019 and 2020.

The El Cortez renovated 73 Tower Rooms this year. The rooms are beautiful and a significant upgrade from some of the more historic rooms at the hotel.

There was a significant renovation project at The Palazzo this year. The casino floor has a new look and all 2,872 suites at The Palazzo are lighter and brighter thanks to the redesign.

Bally’s completed a renovation of the Resort Tower (formerly North Tower). The new Resort rooms are very nice and an excellent choice for visitors that don’t need a view right on the Vegas Strip.

Caesars Entertainment has upgraded plenty of Las Vegas hotel rooms and has a few more planned for the future. You can even see upgrades happening outside of Las Vegas.

Caesars Palace completed an upgrade of the Palace Tower rooms and suites. My weeklong stay in the Palace Tower room was one of the most comfortable I’ve had in a Caesars Entertainment hotel in Las Vegas.

Ellis Island now operates the hotel attached to the casino. All of the rooms in the hotel were all renovated earlier this year.

Park MGM renovations are just coming to an end. Along with new basic rooms, the NoMad Hotel has brand new rooms inside Park MGM.

The Flamingo completed a renovation of more than 2,000 hotel rooms. While the new rooms look great, everyone is talking about the new bunk bed rooms and suites.
